All the caravans on the way up or down stop at Assa Bolo. Each man had a task. Some unloaded the salt blocks and hobbled the camels and mules, some lit small fires for brewing tea and baking bread, while others fetched sacks of hay to feed their animals

He did some reports about the Chernobyl effects on the environnement, worked on the arsenic poisoning waters problems in Bangladesh and climbed Mount Kilimandjaro, Mount Kenya and Mount Ruwenzori in Ouganda to shoot the last ices of Africa. Born in the Alps, Jean Robert did a lot of climbing and skiing.
